Our client approached us with a clear vision: replace a small, leaking conservatory with a permanent extension that would become a bright and versatile part of the home. The new space needed to work hard every day, providing room for the family to play, work from home and comfortably extend the dining area when friends and family came to visit.

With Christmas fast approaching, the project came with an exciting challenge. Completing the extension before the festive season would allow the family to celebrate together in their new space, making every day on site count.

Designed to feel light, open and naturally connected to the existing home, the extension features generous bi fold doors, large picture windows and an elegant roof lantern that fills the room with daylight throughout the year. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure the new space felt as though it had always belonged to the original house.

Despite the demanding programme, the extension was completed with only hours to spare before Christmas. Seeing the transformation finished just in time for the family to enjoy the festive season made the hard work all the more worthwhile.

Today, the extension has become one of the busiest and most loved parts of the home. It provides space for everyday family life, working from home, entertaining friends and, perhaps most importantly, somewhere for the family's two young daughters to play together.

One of the most memorable moments came at the very end of the project, when the girls thanked The Best Build Team for creating their new play space. It's a simple moment, but one that perfectly captures why thoughtful home transformations are about far more than bricks and mortar.
