Terms & conditions
Right to Cancel
You have the legal right to cancel this agreement within 7 calendar days of entering into the contract without incurring any charges. To cancel, you must notify us in writing, either by email or post, using the contact details provided on your quotation.

Acceptance of Quotation
2.1. Our quotation remains valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
2.2. Acceptance of the quotation must be confirmed in writing via email, post, or any other agreed method. Once accepted, these terms and conditions form a binding agreement between us.
Scope of Work
3.1. The scope of work is as described in the quotation provided. Any amendments or additions to the scope must be agreed upon in writing and may result in an adjustment to the cost and/or timeline.
3.2. We will perform the agreed work in accordance with applicable UK building regulations and industry standards.
Payments
4.1. Payment terms will be specified in the quotation. Typically, this includes a build slot payment prior to the commencement of work, interim payments, and a final balance upon completion.
4.2. All payments must be made promptly and in full by the due dates specified on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Variations
5.1. Any changes to the agreed works must be confirmed in writing and may result in additional costs or extensions to the project timeline.
5.2. Variations will be priced and agreed upon before the additional work commences.
Access and Site Conditions
6.1. The client is responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the site and providing any necessary permissions.
6.2. Any delays caused by restricted access or unforeseen site conditions may result in additional charges or adjustments to the project timeline.

Insurance
7.1. The Best Build Team Limited currently holds Public Liability Insurance to the value of £5,000,000. A copy of our insurance certificate can be provided upon request.
7.2. It is the client’s responsibility to notify their household insurers and any parties holding a mortgage or financial interest in the property that building work will be undertaken. The client remains responsible for maintaining adequate insurance coverage for the existing structure and its contents during the work.

Materials and Warranties
8.1. Materials supplied by us will remain our property until paid for in full.
8.2. We warrant that all materials and workmanship will comply with the agreed specification and relevant UK regulations. Any defects identified within 12 months of completion will be rectified unless caused by misuse, wear and tear, or external factors beyond our control.

Liability
9.1. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from the agreed works.
9.2. Our total liability under this contract will not exceed the total amount paid for the work.

Delays and Force Majeure
10.1. While we endeavour to complete all work within the agreed timeframe, we shall not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, supply chain disruptions, or unforeseen labour shortages.
Termination
11.1. Either party may terminate the contract if the other party commits a material breach of its terms.
11.2. Upon termination, the client will be liable for payment for any work completed up to that date.
Disputes
12.1. We aim to resolve disputes amicably. However, if a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
General
13.1. These terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between the parties and supersede any prior understandings, agreements, or representations.
13.2. No variation to these terms will be valid unless agreed in writing by both parties.
