Some renovations begin with every detail carefully planned. Others evolve naturally as ideas take shape and possibilities reveal themselves. This Durrington home was very much the latter, with each decision building upon the last to create a home that feels completely transformed.

Having purchased a dated property full of potential, the client wanted to make it their own. The vision wasn't simply to modernise the house, but to create a home that worked better for everyday living while reflecting their own style and way of life.

The transformation began inside, where structural alterations created a much better flow throughout the property. Opening the kitchen into the adjoining living spaces brought a new sense of light, connection and practicality, while a contemporary kitchen became the natural heart of the home. Bathrooms and the utility area were also completely refurbished, with every space carefully considered to improve both function and appearance.

As the project progressed, new ideas continued to emerge. A bespoke dog wash was introduced to make life easier after countryside walks, while a carefully designed office extension created a bright and comfortable space for working from home. Rather than following a fixed plan, the project evolved alongside the client's vision, resulting in a home that feels entirely personal.

Outside, the transformation continued. New electric gates and carefully designed landscaping completely redefined the property's frontage, creating a welcoming first impression that complements the style of the house while providing greater privacy and security.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project is that it didn't end when the refurbishment was complete. As the client's ideas have continued to evolve, we've had the pleasure of returning to carry out further improvements, helping the home develop over time rather than all at once.
